I was watching today on travel channel about the disney cruise line. I was just wondering about the kid safety. They have so many little kids and I was wondering how they keep kids safe? how to they keep kids from climbing over the railing because there are usually big gaps?Disney cruise line - safety ?
There are many safety precautions on the Disney cruise line. First of all, I'm pretty sure the gaps aren't big enough for a small child to fit through. The railings are high, as well. Also, you're children should be intelligent enough or taught that it's a bad idea to jump off the side of an ocean liner, haha! And if you're child is too young to know that, then they should probably be carried or in a stroller. Parents should also be watching their kids at all times on deck. There is also an entire deck devoted to children, from a nightclub like building for teenagers, like myself, to activity areas for toddlers and everything in between. This entire children's deck is enclosed, so it is a wonderful place to leave your children without having to watch them. I hope I answered your question
(:
Lets be honest here. Disney has to be safe when it comes to children because that is what it prides upon. This is not like a cruise line that parents totally detach from their children the entire time that they are on the cruise. Yes it is safe and a wonderful experience. Not all activities are for all ages of children and this is something to consider. The fact that there are so many activities available for all age groups and in different settings is a great thing. I mean who doesn't want to visit or see Disney's private island? Nickelodeon also has a cruise line now, but although I love the Nick Hotel in Orlando there are a lot of hidden costs.Disney cruise line - safety ?
I've taken two Disney Cruises, and am pretty sure any kid would have a tough time climbing what would need to be climbed in order to get over. On lower, exterior decks, the windows and safety railings go to the ceiling, and on the top deck, the rails are designed such that they are difficult to even lean over unless you are pretty tall.
Also, keep in mind that, barring parental negligence, the kids on these boats are just as supervised as anywhere else. Most parents know to keep an eye on their kids, and the age-divided kid groups are usually looked over by multiple counselors, using high-tech check-in and check-out processes to keep tabs on the kids.

Question about Disney Cruise Line?
Since they are coming out with two new ships (Dream and Fantasy) in the next couple of years will Disney start to become a bit more affordable? I've been on the Wonder once and while it was the best cruise I've been on it wasn't cheap. And while I'm here I might as well ask the following:
Will Disney build a fleet as large (or almost) as Carnival or RCCL?Question about Disney Cruise Line?
I dont think they will become more affordable. They have a product that is in high demand. To save some money, cruise off-peak. we are booked for the 2/13/11 cruise and cant wait!
Prices are out for the Dream. Click the link to see. Its free to sign up!

Hope I helped!Question about Disney Cruise Line?
I don't see them ever having as many ships as RCCL or Carnival. They like charging top dollar for the privilege of cruising on their ships.

Ohhh. My family and I have been on that cruise 3 times before. It's great fun. Anyway....They stop at different locations like the bahamas and their very OWN island. (yes. they own an island. Lol). And it tends to be VERY hot there. So I would definetley pack:
. SHORTS. (must have).
. SKIRTS. (girls).
. TANK TOPS.
. T - SHIRTS.
. FLIP FLOPS.
. SANDALS.
. DRESSES.(girls). (they have parties and shows and stuff).
. SNEAKERS.
. SOCKS (for sneakers. And make sure their kind of thin, Not think).
. UNDERWEAR. (lol).
. DEFINETLEY HATS!! (for the sun).
. SWIMSUITS!! (they have like 3 pools on the cruise. They tend to be really crowded and dirty though. And when you stop on the islands, you can go snorkling, diving, and swimming in the sea).
. PJ'S. (since it is over - night too.)
. A LIGHT - WEIGHT HOODIE OR SWEATER. (at night it's pretty chilly).
And for clothes, I think thats it.
Stuff you'll need: (other than clothes).
. TOWELS. (maybe).
. TOOTH BRUSH, YOUR OWN SHAMPOO. (toiletrees).
. MINI FAN.
. CAMERA!
. TOYS/ENTERTAINMENT. (for the kids).
. SUNSCREEN.
. OH, AND IF ANYONE IN YOUR FAMILY GETS MOTION - SICKENSS OR SOMETHING BRING SOME SEA BANDS AND MOTION - SICKNESS TABLETS. (My brother gets sea - sick usually so we gave him the sea bands. They work miracles! lol).
. AND MONEY! FOR SOUVENIER SHOPPING. (shops are on the islands AND the ship).
And I think that's pretty much it.

Disney Cruise Line - Land & Sea Packages?
I've never been on a cruise before, but have been to WDW 17x. On our last visit we bought 10 day tickets, but only use 3 of those days. I was thinking maybe we would do a 3 day sea and 4 day land vacation on the Disney Cruise Line.
- When do the 2010 prices open for Land %26amp; Sea packages?
- I know there is Magical Express from MCO to WDW and Cruise Line buses from WDW to Port Canaveral... are there Cruise Line buses from MCO to Port Canveral?
Thanks everyone!Disney Cruise Line - Land %26amp; Sea Packages?
I know for a fact there is transportation from MCO to Port Canaveral - I looked into it. There's a bit of a cost but that might be waved if it's through a package.
As for prices - it depends on when your going but if they aren't already up they will be very soon.
I think going on the cruise would be great ! Cruises are fun, and so is Disney .. killer combo. Anyways check out the cruiseline website http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/cruise鈥?/a> that section has more info on what your looking for !
Yes you would have to ask Disney themselves. Call a Disney associate by looking up the company online. If you want my two cents, go on a 7 day cruise! You won't regret it. Having been on the land/sea cruise package I can say that 7 days on the ship is a MUCH more rewarding experience than 3. Also, 4 days is not enough time to see Disney World. You know this, of course, but with three amusement parks and 2 more water parks on top of that, 3 days is not nearly enough time to really enjoy the experience. My family and I have been to Disney about 6 times, and always find, even by the end of 4 days, that we haven't been to all the parks. Of course, if you want a little of each go for the land and sea package it's not like you'd have a bad time; it just wouldn't be that relaxing. You will honestly feel like your vacation is being rushed. Seeing as you've been to Disney 17 times, go out on a limb and try the 7 day cruise! I PROMISE you won't be disappointed. The more laid back approach would be spending as much time on the boat as possible.Disney Cruise Line - Land %26amp; Sea Packages?
The 2010 prices are already open. Call Disney for the prices or check out their website.
There are greeters and buses at the airport. Your luggage is taken from the plane straight to the bus so you don't have to worry about them. The greeters will take you to the check- in desk. Once you've boarded the bus, it's off to the port.
i think it's a great way to enjoy all that disney offers. Have a great time !
Disney Cruise Line Land %26amp; Sea packages won't be available until the Fall. I know this because I contacted Disney Cruise Line and asked them. You can get other packages for 2010 but not the Land and Sea
package. I not sure but I think you can take the Magical Express from MCO to Port Canaveral.
Your best option is to contact Disney directly and ask them. Otherwise u will get all kind of answers. Go straight to the horse for the best answer.

Is the Disney Cruise Line a good way to go?
family of six
there isnt any small childrenIs the Disney Cruise Line a good way to go?
Cruising with Disney is an extremely fun experience. It is not exactly the most reasonable in price but Disney does a great job overall. I would say Disney is geared more to young kids though. Plenty of kids programs on the ships.
Hope I helped!
Wondering why Disney if no children, but would suggest you also consider Royal Caribbean, especially the newer ones with ice skating, flow rider, etc. all included in the price. On Disney, it is a great cruise line although overpriced, there are not as many great things to do, more of a things to see experience such as dinner plates changing colors and characters or their likeness everywhere. Is the Disney Cruise Line a good way to go?
disney cruise is good for parents with children, in my opinion, 12 and under. its good for the kids because there is tons for them to do. there is lots of other kids that age and younger to play with. plus, as parents, you can, more or less, let your kids "run free" if you will. there are programs they can sign up for that do various activities around the ship. the parents (being you i assume) can be worry free about your kids. you can go and do the things you like on the ship all day if you really want to. i went on the cruise when i was 8 and it was amazing to me at the time. i hope my input helps. if you go, enjoy your trip
I would choose another cruise line if you do not have small children for this cruise
Disney is more expensive and is a good cruise line, but I would suggest you go with Princess Cruises or Royal Caribbean or Norwegian Cruise line instead
this is an AMAZING cruise. We had lots of fun on it. There are many things to do so you will never get bored If you are going to the Bahamas dont get off at nassua it is not worth it . Hope i helped
I would compare the Disney sailing with any Royal Caribbean cruise. (since you don't have small kids)
Good luck!
If you are planning to take Disney I would highly recommend waiting until the Disney Dream is done. That ship looks amazing if you have not checked it out already.
The Oasis of the Sea by Royal Caribbean is great if you need help booking your cruise let me know.

Only if you have really young kids.... Otherwise. you can sail Norwegian at probably half the cost...
YES!!!!!!!!!!! ITS THE BEST IT WILL BE THE BEST TIME OF OR LIFE!!!!!
