1. Is there anything major going on in Boston from June 11-14? Particularly in the downtown area/around Boston Common? I would just like a heads up before we come visit and wonder what is going on and possibly miss out on something fun!
2. I am mosquito bite prone. Do I need to pack some anti-bug spray?
3. Is it reasonable to walk from the North Station to Fenway park? How about a walk from North station to the New England Aquarium? North Station to Boston Common? I have a hard time interpreting maps and recognizing distances.
Thank you for helping our upcoming vacation; we are really looking forward to visiting Boston!Final vacation questions...?
I can't help too much with the first two questions, but as for the third, the MBTA trip planner mentioned above is great. Also, consider purchasing a day or week T pass (the week pass is the best value even if you're only going to be here five days).
1. I'm not aware of any major events at that time.
2. Mosquito aren't too noticeable in the city, but if you're prone, it couldnt hurt to have it, in case you decide to head to a park or beach
3. North Station is over by the Garden. It would be a bit too far to head to Fenway Park. Boston Common would be about 2 miles away. MBTA's web site has a trip planner that will show you which line to take, etc to get to where you want to go:

There's a bunch happenning next week....check out Boston Magazine....they will give you a list of things that you can find or do that week....I just read the June issue that's on news stands now....tons of stuff to do-way too much to list it all.
Everyone else mentioned the right things in regards to your other questions....
Most importantly have fun and enjoy yourself! There's soo much to do here that you will find yourself having a hard time choosing what to do.
Too, a good place to research local restaurants is the Phantom Gourmet...web address is below.
