What does "international-food strip" mean?

Here is the sentence in which I met this term:

"A highlight of Ninth Avenue鈥檚 international-food strip, Tagine adds a tummy twirl to every pheasant pie, Thursdays through Saturdays. And there are more types of couscous on the menu than rings on the dancers鈥?fingers. "

is there any connection with striptease? What does "international-food strip" mean?
That simply refers to the fact that there are a large number of bakeries, groceries, shops and restaurants of various international cuisines along a long stretch of Ninth Ave. in NYC. Specifically, it is a 20-block stretch from 37th to 57th Streets. This is celebrated in an annual Ninth Avenue International Food Festival eacy May.
