The zoo is in Highland Park. It is a little bit of a shaky neighboorhood, and borders some very shaky neighboorhoods.



Nearby, Shadyside and Squirrel Hill are better urban areas, and directly across the river, there are many nice, more suburban neighborhoods. (Sharpsburg, Ohara, Fox Chapel)
