I have a new Moroccan tagine or clay baker. I haven't used it yet and am wondering how to prepare it?

Is there anything I need to do to the clay baker before using it for the first time? It is a glazed tagine.I have a new Moroccan tagine or clay baker. I haven't used it yet and am wondering how to prepare it?
If it's glazed, just rinse with water and dry before using it.
