They may ask about your experience and how that would transfer as a Volunteer. They want to know you are aligned w/ the Mission of the group and can you fit in.
They may want to know all the experience you have in there particular line of work.
If you are not in an important position but rather a supportive one, they will show you what is involved in the activity and train you. Sometimes on you tour there may be one area you have an interest and then ask about it. Some ppl have no preference, just want to help and in turn perhaps learn new things they can use elsewhere. If you work up to higher positions they may ask more questions to qualify you to apply for it.
Ask what kind of schedule they want from volunteers. Some want so many hours every weeks which can be difficult for families. Some ask for but don't push the time if negotiated
Volunteering can also be a doorway to job opportunities that are not posted outside at 1st. Nice way to try out new things w/o the hasstle of being hired and can still learn a lot.
