I was watching today on travel channel about the disney cruise line. I was just wondering about the kid safety. They have so many little kids and I was wondering how they keep kids safe? how to they keep kids from climbing over the railing because there are usually big gaps?Disney cruise line - safety ?
There are many safety precautions on the Disney cruise line. First of all, I'm pretty sure the gaps aren't big enough for a small child to fit through. The railings are high, as well. Also, you're children should be intelligent enough or taught that it's a bad idea to jump off the side of an ocean liner, haha! And if you're child is too young to know that, then they should probably be carried or in a stroller. Parents should also be watching their kids at all times on deck. There is also an entire deck devoted to children, from a nightclub like building for teenagers, like myself, to activity areas for toddlers and everything in between. This entire children's deck is enclosed, so it is a wonderful place to leave your children without having to watch them. I hope I answered your question
(:
Lets be honest here. Disney has to be safe when it comes to children because that is what it prides upon. This is not like a cruise line that parents totally detach from their children the entire time that they are on the cruise. Yes it is safe and a wonderful experience. Not all activities are for all ages of children and this is something to consider. The fact that there are so many activities available for all age groups and in different settings is a great thing. I mean who doesn't want to visit or see Disney's private island? Nickelodeon also has a cruise line now, but although I love the Nick Hotel in Orlando there are a lot of hidden costs.Disney cruise line - safety ?
I've taken two Disney Cruises, and am pretty sure any kid would have a tough time climbing what would need to be climbed in order to get over. On lower, exterior decks, the windows and safety railings go to the ceiling, and on the top deck, the rails are designed such that they are difficult to even lean over unless you are pretty tall.
Also, keep in mind that, barring parental negligence, the kids on these boats are just as supervised as anywhere else. Most parents know to keep an eye on their kids, and the age-divided kid groups are usually looked over by multiple counselors, using high-tech check-in and check-out processes to keep tabs on the kids.

Question about Disney Cruise Line?
Since they are coming out with two new ships (Dream and Fantasy) in the next couple of years will Disney start to become a bit more affordable? I've been on the Wonder once and while it was the best cruise I've been on it wasn't cheap. And while I'm here I might as well ask the following:
Will Disney build a fleet as large (or almost) as Carnival or RCCL?Question about Disney Cruise Line?
I dont think they will become more affordable. They have a product that is in high demand. To save some money, cruise off-peak. we are booked for the 2/13/11 cruise and cant wait!
Prices are out for the Dream. Click the link to see. Its free to sign up!

Hope I helped!Question about Disney Cruise Line?
I don't see them ever having as many ships as RCCL or Carnival. They like charging top dollar for the privilege of cruising on their ships.

. PJ'S. (since it is over - night too.)
. A LIGHT - WEIGHT HOODIE OR SWEATER. (at night it's pretty chilly).

Disney Cruise Line - Land & Sea Packages?
I've never been on a cruise before, but have been to WDW 17x. On our last visit we bought 10 day tickets, but only use 3 of those days. I was thinking maybe we would do a 3 day sea and 4 day land vacation on the Disney Cruise Line.
- When do the 2010 prices open for Land %26amp; Sea packages?
- I know there is Magical Express from MCO to WDW and Cruise Line buses from WDW to Port Canaveral... are there Cruise Line buses from MCO to Port Canveral?
Thanks everyone!Disney Cruise Line - Land %26amp; Sea Packages?
I know for a fact there is transportation from MCO to Port Canaveral - I looked into it. There's a bit of a cost but that might be waved if it's through a package.
As for prices - it depends on when your going but if they aren't already up they will be very soon.
I think going on the cruise would be great ! Cruises are fun, and so is Disney .. killer combo. Anyways check out the cruiseline website http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/cruise鈥?/a> that section has more info on what your looking for !
Yes you would have to ask Disney themselves. Call a Disney associate by looking up the company online. If you want my two cents, go on a 7 day cruise! You won't regret it. Having been on the land/sea cruise package I can say that 7 days on the ship is a MUCH more rewarding experience than 3. Also, 4 days is not enough time to see Disney World. You know this, of course, but with three amusement parks and 2 more water parks on top of that, 3 days is not nearly enough time to really enjoy the experience. My family and I have been to Disney about 6 times, and always find, even by the end of 4 days, that we haven't been to all the parks. Of course, if you want a little of each go for the land and sea package it's not like you'd have a bad time; it just wouldn't be that relaxing. You will honestly feel like your vacation is being rushed. Seeing as you've been to Disney 17 times, go out on a limb and try the 7 day cruise! I PROMISE you won't be disappointed. The more laid back approach would be spending as much time on the boat as possible.Disney Cruise Line - Land %26amp; Sea Packages?
The 2010 prices are already open. Call Disney for the prices or check out their website.
There are greeters and buses at the airport. Your luggage is taken from the plane straight to the bus so you don't have to worry about them. The greeters will take you to the check- in desk. Once you've boarded the bus, it's off to the port.
i think it's a great way to enjoy all that disney offers. Have a great time !
Disney Cruise Line Land %26amp; Sea packages won't be available until the Fall. I know this because I contacted Disney Cruise Line and asked them. You can get other packages for 2010 but not the Land and Sea
package. I not sure but I think you can take the Magical Express from MCO to Port Canaveral.
Your best option is to contact Disney directly and ask them. Otherwise u will get all kind of answers. Go straight to the horse for the best answer.

Is the Disney Cruise Line a good way to go?
family of six
there isnt any small childrenIs the Disney Cruise Line a good way to go?
Cruising with Disney is an extremely fun experience. It is not exactly the most reasonable in price but Disney does a great job overall. I would say Disney is geared more to young kids though. Plenty of kids programs on the ships.
Hope I helped!
Wondering why Disney if no children, but would suggest you also consider Royal Caribbean, especially the newer ones with ice skating, flow rider, etc. all included in the price. On Disney, it is a great cruise line although overpriced, there are not as many great things to do, more of a things to see experience such as dinner plates changing colors and characters or their likeness everywhere. Is the Disney Cruise Line a good way to go?
disney cruise is good for parents with children, in my opinion, 12 and under. its good for the kids because there is tons for them to do. there is lots of other kids that age and younger to play with. plus, as parents, you can, more or less, let your kids "run free" if you will. there are programs they can sign up for that do various activities around the ship. the parents (being you i assume) can be worry free about your kids. you can go and do the things you like on the ship all day if you really want to. i went on the cruise when i was 8 and it was amazing to me at the time. i hope my input helps. if you go, enjoy your trip
I would choose another cruise line if you do not have small children for this cruise
Disney is more expensive and is a good cruise line, but I would suggest you go with Princess Cruises or Royal Caribbean or Norwegian Cruise line instead
this is an AMAZING cruise. We had lots of fun on it. There are many things to do so you will never get bored If you are going to the Bahamas dont get off at nassua it is not worth it . Hope i helped
I would compare the Disney sailing with any Royal Caribbean cruise. (since you don't have small kids)
Good luck!
If you are planning to take Disney I would highly recommend waiting until the Disney Dream is done. That ship looks amazing if you have not checked it out already.
The Oasis of the Sea by Royal Caribbean is great if you need help booking your cruise let me know.

Only if you have really young kids.... Otherwise. you can sail Norwegian at probably half the cost...
YES!!!!!!!!!!! ITS THE BEST IT WILL BE THE BEST TIME OF OR LIFE!!!!!

Disney Cruise Line Excursions?
We are going on the 7 day western carribean cruise in January to Key West, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman. What are the better excursions OR which ones should we stay away from?Disney Cruise Line Excursions?
We literally just finshed with this Disney 7-day Western Casribbean itinerary. There are just tons of shore excursions, and a lot of this answer depends on what you want to do -- relax? tour the islands? do sports? have adventures? Also, since you're taking a Disney cruise, what age(s) are your child(ren)? Disney's excursions are divided into ages and difficulty levels to help determine if your party can enjoy the excursion. This was our 1st time to Key West, so we took the Conch/Trolley train tour. We brought our 4-year-old, who slept the whole time (kinda a waste of $$). The tour was good, but maybe we should've done something a bit more exciting. My brother said the pirate museum was good, as was the aquarium (but lots of city's have good ones) and the butterfly exhibit was good, too. This was our 2nd visit to Cozumel, and again, we tailored the excursion to our 4-year-old, so we did the Ocean View Explorer visiting the coral reef right along the shore of Cozumel. Many of the shore activites, including snorkelling, diving, submarine, etc., visit this same coral reef. If you like the idea of seeing some undersea life, any of these are great. But honestly, Cozumel has a nice shopping strip (bargain -- do NOT pay the first price they give you!) if you don't want to pay Disney's high prices for excursions. This was also our 2nd trip to Grand Cayman. Grand Cayman is an expensive island (unlike Cozumel), so in all honesty, don't pay for Disney's excursions here. Just take a tender (boat) from the cruise ship to the dock and talk to the folks at the end of the peir hawking tours. Everybody speaks English (it's a British island), everybody takes dollars, and you can negotiate a MUCH better price. Check out the list of excursions that Disney sends you in your "Travel Kit", decide what you want, then negotiate for it at the pier. Just be back by the time the cruise ship sails or your vacation will be wrecked. In Cayman, 7-mile beach is gorgeous, the turtle farm is neat, Stingyray City is neat, all are worth seeing. The shopping is expensive; unless you want a t-shirt from Grand Cayman, buy your souvenirs in Cozumel.
Hope that helps! Have an awesome trip!!!!!!
i don't know what the good excursions are. But I can give you a tip on booking them. Either book them before your cruise. Or the first day of your cruise. Otherwise they will be all filled up

Should i go to Disney world florida or Disney cruise line?
Well I have been to both, and they are both amazing and you would never regret either one! If you want to be rested and just relax i would say this Disney Cruise. They are very accomdating, friendly, and there are things to do for all ages of the family! Show, Dining, Clubs you name it! But, if you are on a roll and want to go out and explore then go to Disney World; There is alot to see, do and you will need a week to do it all. If you stil' can't decide then I suggest The 7 day/night land and sea combo. You are in Disney for about 3 days and then your on the ship for 4. It's beautiful, wounderful, and you can get "two" vacations in the same one! The disney cast members are very accomdating and there are disney cruise line busses that will pick you up from your hotel. (you will just have to check in and find out more with concierge when you get to your hotel). Any three of the options would suite you, it just depends on what your desire is! Good Luck and have a magical vacation wherever disney brings you!Should i go to Disney world florida or Disney cruise line?
Disney offers a package deal that is both. We have done both. Disney world is fabulous and so are their cruise lines.
disNey worLd 1st than reLax on tHe disNey cruIse on yoUr next vacAtion :)Should i go to Disney world florida or Disney cruise line?
disney cruise line definately its more expensive but its worth it
Go cruising! DIsney World is overpriced in itself as well as the food and surrounding hotels. A cruise allows you to have a few vacations in one because of the different ports of call. Also a cruise package usually includes all the food (all you can eat) and includes the hotel room and the different amenities, activities and shows on the ship. I've heard the Disney cruises are very nice for adults as well as a lot of fun for the kids. So in the end the price is nicer. I just went on a cruise two weeks ago and it was really nice. The only thing that you'll propbably end up paying for is excusions on the port of call (and thats optional) you can always hang out at the beach for free :)
If you have never been to Disney World before, I suggest you go there. There is so much to see and do, it will take you days to get through all of it. The cruise is very nice for people that have done all the parks at Disney. Good luck!mbusa dmv nc

We did not have time to purchase them on the cruise, and one of my friends told us that we could do it online. But I can't find where.
It was the Disney Wonder to Alaska, in case you were wondering.Disney cruise line photos online?
that is not true. if the pictures are not purchased then they are trashed at the end of the cruise. when pictures are taken of you on the boat, they dont have your name on them. typically you have to find your pictures and THEN you scan them onto a computer where you would then chose the ones you would like to purchase. they have no idea who these pix belong to so they would never b saved unless you purchased a picture package PRIOR to your cruise where you pay for all pix at a very expensive price. :/ sorry

Can you add Dining Plan to 2008 Disney cruise line Land/Sea package?
I just read on disboard.com that you can now add the dining plan to the cruise line land/sea package. Is this true? Is it a good deal?
This is what disboards said:
2008 DISNEY DINING PLAN ADD-ON
For $37.99 per night per person for guests ages 10 and up and $9.99 per night per person for guests ages 3 - 9, you can now add on the Disney Dining Plan during your land stayCan you add Dining Plan to 2008 Disney cruise line Land/Sea package?
You are correct, you can now add the dining plan on to land and sea packages. It is great because that was a measure downside to doing the land and sea package.
The dining plan is a great deal, especially this year when truly everything is included. This year you get one table service, counter service and snack point per day of the dining plan. Everything is pretty much included in those meals, including drinks (other than alcohol) and tip. Next year they are changing a few things. For example, some restaurants (I don't know how many, from what I have read so far it looks like quite a few) will no longer be including tip, so you will have to pay for that (18% of your bill) Also, appetizers are no longer included, some restaurants will allow you to switch your dessert for an appetizer but not all. Finally, the snack is supposedly going to be a little more limited next year. However, from what I am reading this will only be certain places that you get snacks, others will pretty much be the same as this year.
Even though you are losing quite a bit next year, and the price only went down a dollar per person, it should still really be a great deal.
With a land and sea package you are only able to add on the standard dining plan, the deluxe dining plan will not be an option.
You are only allowed to add the dining plan on to the days that are a part of the actual land and sea. The extra days you add on do not qualify for the dining plan. So, if you are doing the 3 night land and 4 night sea cruise, you can only get the dining plan for three nights on land. Any extra days you cannot add the plan on and of those days you must have the dining plan on each day, it must be included for all three nights.... Does that make since?
Hope this helps, feel free to e-mail if I need to clarify anything.
Yes! It is true! And it's totally worth it! It will save you money in the end! Disney dining allows you one counter service, one sit down service and one snack for each person for the the amount of days on your tickets. I think it is a great option, and takes alot of guess work out things for you, and you can just feel at ease. Can you add Dining Plan to 2008 Disney cruise line Land/Sea package?
yes--definately do it save some big bucks~~~~

What is the drinking age on Disney Cruise Lines private island Castaway Cay?
I'm certain it's 21 but I could be wrong. When I took a Royal Caribbean cruise in May of 2010 and we stopped in CocoCay (Royal Caribbean's private island) the drinking age was still 21. Disney is probably the last cruise line that would EVER allow people under 21 to consume alcohol on their property. So it's still 21 on their private island right? What is the drinking age on Disney Cruise Lines private island Castaway Cay?
.......
So you're certain it's 21, last time you went there it was 21, Disney is the last cruise line that would EVER allow people under 21 to drink, and you still ask the question..?
Yeah kiddo, it's 21. -__________-
, I struggled to find an online site that gave me information on cruise departures until I found www.cruisereservation.com.
You owe it to yourself to look here for the best discounts and great information on different cruises around the world. What is the drinking age on Disney Cruise Lines private island Castaway Cay?
Definitely 21.

WTF With disney cruise line drinking age?
okay so i get that if your in the USA that u can't drink until you're 21 but on most cruise lines once you're out of us territories you are allowed to consume alcohol underage just as long as u have your parents permission... so Why not on disney cruise lines? I mean the islands they dock at are in the bahamas(out of USA territories).WTF With disney cruise line drinking age?
So why do you really want to drink alcohol??? At your age you will be setting yourself up for an alcoholic life!!!!
You have been misinformed. The drinking age on all cruise lines is still 21. Parent's permission makes no difference, certainly not on Disney. They do not want irresponsible, underage drinkers ruining things for other passengers, nor do they want the liability that comes with underage drinking. The ports are in foreign countries, which have their own laws regarding alcohol consumption.
You know, you really could go on a cruise and have fun without drinking, especially if you're under age. The attitude evidenced in the phrasing of your question indicates that you are not responsible enough to be drinking.WTF With disney cruise line drinking age?
You have been misinformed about drinking at sea. The minimum drinking age on all passenger ships departing US ports is 21, and that does not change while in international waters or while in international ports. There are no exceptions. If a passenger is age 18, that passenger can drink on shore, but not on board ship, no matter where the ship is. This applies to ALL cruise companies -- no matter where the ship may be registered or have its home port, if it departs a US port, the age is 21. Period.
Yes, there are some ships on which the drinking age is 18, but that is only so when the ship departs certain South American or European ports. Also, signed parental permission can be required, and the parent must be on the ship, and the permission only applies to beer and wine.
You will be on a ship, owned by a US company - so the legal drinking age is 21 - regardless where you are with the ship.
If you cruise with a European Cruise line and join in Europe - then you are an adult, once you turn 18 - and therefore you can also drink.
You can go ashore in the Bahamas and drink there - but not onboard.
What would Mickey Mouse say anyway to that ?
YOU CAN DRINK ON THAT SHIP AT YOUR AGE.
It will be pop, but thats life.

Do Night-Shifts pay more than Day-Shifts in disney cruise line?
I am working for disney and we don have paid for night shift we should?Do Night-Shifts pay more than Day-Shifts in disney cruise line?
Pay should be the same for both shifts. On a ship who is going to relieve the night staff? Magical characters from never never land?
The point of shift working means shifting with another staff member.

Why doesn't the Disney cruise line have a teen pool?
Hi! I'm 13 and my family is going on a Disney cruise soon, and I know that they have a kid pool, adult pool, and family pool... but why don't they have a teen pool? Will I still have fun in the family pool? Is it crowded?
Thanks :)Why doesn't the Disney cruise line have a teen pool?
Good question! I don't know of any cruise lines that have teen pools. Disney is known for catering to families, so there are always a lot of kids onboard. There will be times when all of the pools are crowded, particularly days that you're at sea and the weather is good.
Just check it out, you'll definitely get some times when the pool isn't so crowded - try mealtimes to start with - when most people head out for lunch or dinner. You will be allowed to use the kids pool, but on many ships it is just a wading pool, so not much fun for teens!
Check out the teen club, make some new friends that you can hang out with. You probably won't spend much time at the pool then! Have a great cuise!
I know I'm late in posting this, but I think that teens are allowed in both the family AND the kid pool seeing that they're under 18.
When we went on the cruise, the little kids were in the kid pool and the adults were in the adults only pool. All the teens were in the family pool watching movies and singing along. OR....while the family was down at the pool, they were at the club.

What shoppes does the Disney Cruise Lines have?
The Disney Cruise Line's website is closed! I'm going to take a cruise with some family next February - not sure which line, though. I was just at Disney in Florida earlier this summer and I really liked the shoppes in Downtown Disney, especially this one store with lots of art by newfound artists and features pullips dolls - which I love! What shoppes does the Disney Cruise Lines have?

Have you ever been to Disney Cruise Line?
I'm dreaming about to go there but i still have to get some money, but i need to ask you
what is it like? tell me your feelings from this sailHave you ever been to Disney Cruise Line?
I've been on 3 Disney cruises, and each time has been absolutely amazing.
The service is amazing, they keep the ship impeccably clean, the food is scrumptious - it's honestly the perfect vacation.
I've been on Disney Cruises and they are great. I can start with how perfectly maintained the ship and rooms are kept. The service is spectacular. The entertainment is top notch and the food is good also. In addition, they have tons of activities for ALL ages and you will never get to do them all. There's lost of character meet %26amp; greets and special events. I love the Pirates in the Caribbean party. You can dress up for it and so does the staff. The best part at the end is the fireworks at sea. No other cruise line does this. You never have to pay for beverages. They have a beverage station on the pool deck, where you can fill up as much as you like. They have cold %26amp; hot drinks. If you've stayed at a disney resort, is very similar to the ones at the food court. They also have an ice cream station, which mostly kids tend to indulge in.
The cruises book very quickly. It's best to book as early as possible, a year to a year and a half in advance. That way you can get the best prices. The longer you wait, the more expensive as cabins are booked.Have you ever been to Disney Cruise Line?
Disney does a great job on cruises! Just book it early because the prices go up and availability is gone really quick especially on the new ships! We have out stateroom held for Jan 2012 and now the price is up hundreds! And if we decide we can't do it is is 100% refundable! Hope you get to try one! If you need a good disney travel agent I love mine - send me an email and I will post her info!
yes. i have. twice.
it was just perfect. if you want to do a cruise go to a disney cruise there are no cons it is just PERFECT.
i personnaly have never been on a Disney Cruise, but they get some very good reviews on the official cruise website!

Carnival Cruise Line or Disney Cruise Line?
I took my first Disney Cruise aboard the Wonder in November with my 6 yr old. We had such a great time; we would like to take another cruise. Disney is realatively expensive in comparison to other cruise line. In fact at 7 night Carnival cruise for the same cat. cabin and deck is about $1,000.00 cheaper than Disney. Is Carnival worth a try? I'd really appreciate your experiences. ThanksCarnival Cruise Line or Disney Cruise Line?
Well, you get what you pay for. You said you had a great time on the Disney Cruise, so I assume you don't feel it was a waste of money. The reason why the Carnival Cruise and most others are cheaper. They're just not as great at all. It's like when people say, "well, I was thinking maybe Universal Studios would be better than Walt Disney World because it's cheaper." Remember, Disney is one of largest, most well-known companies in the world. These other companies are in such competition with them that the only thing they can do to get any business is to offer cheaper prices. Cheaper prices = cheaper quality of everything. Trust me, after being on a Disney Cruise... you'll be disappointed with just about anything else. Disney has the private island, Castaway Cay, they have different sections on the ship and the island for different age groups. Since you've already been on a Disney Cruise you should certainly know that it's not "dedicated" to children. Adults and couples can go, too, and have an amazing time. Did you see the Vista Spa? It's beautiful!
Anyway, hope I could help! Have a fun, safe cruise, whichever you choose.
carnival is def. more of a party boat, i would stick to disneyCarnival Cruise Line or Disney Cruise Line?
Carnival is great. I dont have any children but the last carnival cruise I went on was so kid friendly. They have all types of activities and things for kids to do.
Disney can be very expensive, but the food on their ship is a lot better than those other cruiselines. I think either way you decide you'll still have fun. Also, keep in mind it's always nice to try something different. You could even try taking the Disney Magic, which is their other cruise ship. It goes somewhere else. They will also have a ship going to Europe in 2007 I believe.
Carnival is not going to be as nice as Disney. I am not saying it is a bad line, but you are giving up a BMW for a Kia. You will notice why it is priced different. Disney is also prices a little higher because it has the Disney name and theme.
Carnival has "Camp Carnival" for kids where they do all kinds of things with the kids during the day and early evening. Some times cost you a fee, but most afternoon times don't. You see the kids in groups with Camp Carnival crew members all over the ship during the day.
If you liked your Disney cruises, I'm sure you will be very disappointed by Carnival cruises. A Disney cruise is more expensive because it's higher-end. You get what you pay for. Because Carnival cruises are so much cheaper, they also attract a different crowd than Disney cruises. It's like comparing the people you find showing at the 99 cents store vs. people shopping at Neiman-Marcus. The people on your cruise can definitely make or break the experience you have.
Disney is dedicated for children, Carnival caters for everyone. take a pick
Personally, I didn't enjoy my stay at Carnival's Sensation cruise ship. Like someone mentioned, the food, for one, isn't that up to par with others. Disney might be more expensive, but worth the price.

Is the disney cruise line good?
Im going to be on it from august 8th to 18th. Im going on the Disney Magic and its a 10 day meditteranean cruise. This is my first cruise and I was wondering is it good!? Im so excited and can't wait!Is the disney cruise line good?
Disney Cruise Line is a very good product....
There are some pluses and some minuses in all cruise lines...
I sailed the Disney Wonder last September for a wonderful 10 night Southern Caribbean itinerary.
The rotational dining is really nice...I enjoyed it...
The ship, although it does attract many adults without kids...is geared toward kids...there is no casino onboard...
The pool areas are fabulous...the Mickey pool for the younger kids is soooo awesome. There is the adults only pool for peace and quiet.
I personally wasn't over thrilled with the kids room (my daughter was 4 at the time) but it wasn't too bad. They have a graduation from it where the kids earn their graduation ears...really cute.
The food was very good overall...they tend to run out of some fruits...
There are 4 secret cabins, that are sold as cat 7, but the balconies aren't really obstructed...great value...
Have a wonderful time...

I went on the Disney Cruise when i was 14.. and for some reason i didn't like it that much. I think it's more for younger kids (the atmosphere) The food was good though. It may be different because i went on the Wonder and it was only 3 days n i was ready to roll. have fun..Is the disney cruise line good?
We just came back from the Disney Cruise Line "Magic" Mediterranean cruise. Disney did an excellent job organizing the cruise from the day we landed in Barcelona, they made sure we were well briefed on what to do by meeting us at the airport and taking us to our pre-cruise hotel. Disney Cruise Line also had arranged for us to check in for the Cruise at our Hotel so we pretty much bypassed the lines at the terminal.
Read through the information they sent you. Once you're on board, check out the channels for the shore excurisions (there's a channel for each port of call), shopping tips and seminars/lectures for each port of call, what to expect and shopping tips/discounts.
The shore excursions tickets are delivered to your hotel room. Disney also will deliver a daily newletter on the next day shore excursions, shows (there are normally two shows at night), movies schedule (there are 3 movie theaters). Disney organizes each tour, or you can travel on your own...some of our new found friends did so and they had little or no problems.
Dining was great rotating from between 3 dining rooms, each with a different theme. Or, if you want to go impromptu to the Topsider Dinner Buffet, get there early for the best seating and the food is normally right out of the kitchens.
The shore excursions were fantastic and Disney Cruise line had photographers all over the place taking your pictures (you don't need to be part of the Disney Cruise Shore Excursions) so just let the photographer know you are with the Disney Cruise. You can pick out your pictures the next day using one of the photo packages you can purchase.
Time went by so fast that I wish I could go one more time...see the sites we missed the first time. Again, Disney made sure you were well briefed on the final night to disembark to take you to the airport or to a post-cruise hotel (we did another post-cruise hotel stay in Barcelona).
Good Luck and You'll have a great time.

i hear its very good
it is good if you like kids running around you but other than that i liked it
it was pretty fun

Has anyone worked for the Disney Cruise line as a Server or any other position? What did the position pay? ?
Well, it varies. I would definitely discuss the benefit package because that, in essence, is money.
Depending on the position, anywhere from $1,800-$2,000 (US currency) per month.
Are you a good entertainer?: Guest Entertainer (a complete and strong 40-50 minutes self-contained show-catering to a wide diversity of ages required). Salary range: $4000-18000 U.S. per month, depending on the cruise line and negotiation..

Questions for disney cruise line?
if anyone has been on disney cruise and can help with good places to sit by pool, theatre, dining rooms, any rarely known secrets, any other useful info for our trip also we are going over new years and we are wondering what temp is like water temp for snorkling at nassau and castaway cay. thanks for any input.Questions for disney cruise line?
The disney cruise line is amazing. I went on a 7 night cruise and it was the best. They assign you seating in the dining rooms, and there is not a bad seat in the theatre. Make sure you participate in alot of the activities, you will regret it if you dont. They give you this thing called the navigator every morning, and it tells you everything that is going on that day. Make sure you dress up for formal night, some people didnt, and they looked really silly. They take pictures of everyone on formal night, and you can buy them later at shutters (the picture place). The water temp. depends on the time of year you go. We went in january and the water at castaway cay was really cold, so we just stayed on the beach. But we did go snorkeling in grand caymen, and the water was perfect.

Disney is great. Nassau will be plenty warm enough to go snorkeling in January. Castaway Cay is perfect for snorkeling also. It's Disney's private island.
I personally have not sailed on Disney, but I had some clients who have. Snorkeling should be awesome in the Bahamas, I wouldn't expect it to be too cold. I would really read over the website and the brochure for the ship you will be on to get a better idea of the surroundings. Hope you have a good trip!

Why did many people get honeymoon at disney cruise line?
I agree with the first response, it wouldn't be my first choice but one of my best friends just got off her honeymoon and she went on a disney cruise and she had a blast! There are so many things to do that aren't just for kids. Why did many people get honeymoon at disney cruise line?
Because Disney Cruise Line doesn't just entertain children. They have a lot of great things for adults to do, at affordable prices.

I'm interested in working at Disneyworld or a Disney cruise line in the future but...?
I heard the bosses at disneyworld were mean, are they? And would i be able to take off for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and/or Easter?! Because I would like to fly home and be with my family on important holidays, y'know?I'm interested in working at Disneyworld or a Disney cruise line in the future but...?
Depends on how many workers they have available to work on holidays. Since most people don't want to, just like you, then you most likely have the chance at getting stuck with working on holidays since they are some of the most busiest times of the year. I mean, how fun would it be to go on a Disney cruise or go to Disneyland on Christmas?!

Any secrets in finding great deals on a Disney Cruise Line vacation?
To be honest, it can be really hard to find discounts for a Disney cruise. The cruise is so popular that they don't really need to offer an specials. Once and a while one will pop in, but not very often. The best thing to do is book out far in advance, use an agent and go during one of the off seasons. The lowest cost is during hurricane season, for obvious reasons. Going during hurricane season is still fine, you will be safe, the cruise line takes good care of you, but just be sure to get travel protection during this time, you don't want to lose out on a cruise.
You should look into using a travel agent, there are a lot of Disney specialized agents that will have a ton of info for you as well. But, almost every agency offers some onboard credit for you. The higher your category/price, the more you get.
Other than that, sometimes Disney offers onboard credit if you make all your payments with a Disney visa and if you book online I think they are giving $25 right now.
I wouldn't wait too long to book, Disney cruises book way out in advance, the further out you book, the lower your price. The closer you get to your travel dates, the higher the prices will go. Unless, Disney offers a discount for a few rooms that are left over, but this doesn't happen very often.

Disney Cruise Line Smores Pie Recipe?
Back in september, my family and I went on the Disney Cruise Line for the first time. When eating at Parrot Cay, I remember having a sort of s'mores cheesecake, or pie. It was oe of the most delicious desserts I had had in a long time, and wanted to make it again here at home. Does anyone know where I can find the official recipe for this? Thanks so much in advance to anyone that can help!Disney Cruise Line Smores Pie Recipe?

S鈥檓ores Brownies
Crust:
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups crushed graham cracker crumbs
2 tablespoons sugar
Pinch fine salt
Brownie:
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1 cup packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon fine salt
4 large cold eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
Topping:
4 cups large marshmallows
Position a rack in the lower third of the oven and heat oven to 325潞F. Line an 8 by-8-inch square baking pan with foil so it hangs over the edges by about 1 inch.
For the crust: Lightly butter the foil with some of the melted butter. Stir the rest of the butter together with the crumbs, sugar, and salt in a medium bowl. Press the crumb mixture evenly over the bottom of the pan. Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, make the brownie. Put the butter and chocolate in a medium microwave safe bowl. Melt in the microwave on 75 percent power for 2 minutes. Stir, and microwave again until completely melted, about 2 minutes more. Alternatively, put the butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Bring a saucepan filled with 1 inch or so of water to a very slow simmer; set the bowl on the pan without touching the water. Stir occasionally until melted. Stir the light brown and white sugars, vanilla and salt into the melted chocolate. Add the eggs and beat vigorously to make a thick and glossy batter. Add the flour and stir until just incorporated.
Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake until the top is crispy and a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out mostly clean, with a few crumbs, about 40 to 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven and carefully position a rack about 6 inches from the broiler and preheat on low. Layer marshmallows across the top and toast under the broiler until golden, (keep an eye on it, it can go quick), about 2 minutes. Cool on a rack, gently removing the brownies from the pan using the aluminum flaps. Carefully separate any marshmallow from the foil and fold away. Cut into 12 (2-inch) squares.

Disney Cruise Line: Where should the Disney Magic go in 2013?
It's been to the Baltic, Mediterranean, and New York (2012). Where should it go now?Disney Cruise Line: Where should the Disney Magic go in 2013?
It doesn't matter where you or anyone else on YA think it should go. It's going to go where the Disney people determine they can make the most money.
So this is really more of a chat than a real question.
2012 fall will be in galveston tx
Either the bahamas or the philipenes

What to expect from a Disney Cruise Line Singing Audition! :)?
I just want to know about the overall experience, and if any one has success stories. I have an audition soon, and I am very excited. Any Tips??What to expect from a Disney Cruise Line Singing Audition! :)?
i auditioned for Disney with acting. i'm a singer, not an actor but am great at both. SO, you will probably go into a room with a camera and a green screen. you'll say your lines, the person running the camera will say the other person's lines. if they like you you'll get a call back directly from the agency. if you didn't make it to anything big, you'll probably receive a call saying that you did great and they will try to get you to a school of theirs for acting....the whole thing is pretty much a sales pitch.
BUT, there really aren't that many tips, don't look at the camera, don't look down so that they can't see your expression, and breath deeply. And DONT sound monotone. the person after me sounded completely one-noted and it was actually embarrassing to watch...
woah, i totally forgot that you said it was a singing audition.....
ok, breath from your diaphragm, stop eating atleast an hour before tryouts, and eat absolutely NO dairy that day, or even the day before. remember to sing with a nice open throat and annunciate.
GOOD LUCK! hope you go far :)

I've heard it's great for families with kids, and for people who love the Disney experience.
However, they have only a few ships, limited itineraries, and if you like to go to the casino, choose another cruise line because Disney doesn't have any.
And compared to other family-friendly lines like Royal Caribbean and Carnival, they're quite expensive.virtual earth art games

Few Questions about the Disney Cruise Line?
Taking a trip on Oct 30, a 3 night cruise to Nassau %26amp; Castaway Cay. Wondering what I can expect itinerary wise, I've never been on a cruise before so i'm not quite sure how things work. Also we are celebrating an Anniversary so I don't expect anything super duper but if anyone has celebrated a birthday or anniversary can you tell me what to expect. Any help would be super fabulous as to ship activities and all that. Thanks in advance!!! :)Few Questions about the Disney Cruise Line?

I took a Disney Cruise last summer and LOVED it. It was my mom's birthday on that trip, but we didn' t have anything too special for her. I think we got her a free desert for dinner...but I can't remember exactly. There is so much stuff to do on the ship! I recommend going to the spa. I got a manicure and it was amazing! we realized that staying on the ship at Nassau is best because the offshore excursions can be a waste of money depending on the one you go on. Where to find discounts on disney cruise line?
I looked on the website but the didn't have much so do any of yall know where I can I find discountsWhere to find discounts on disney cruise line?
To be quite honest, there aren't any discounts for the Disney Cruise Line. You can pay for the cruise in payments (after the cruise as well).
The only discount I really know of is booking far in advance (the price goes up as the sail date nears), and booking your next cruise while ON your cruise (I believe it's around a 10% discount).
Disney Cruise line does not discount their cruises. They offer a 10% discount while you're onboard a cruise and book the next one there. I suggest going through a travel agent, since most will offer extra onboard credit depending on cruise price total. Also, book as early as possible( 1 year -1 1/2 yrs) since the best room rates are available then. Disney cruises are very popular and book very quickly.Where to find discounts on disney cruise line?
As the other poster said you need to book out as far in advance as possible. Rebooking onboard the ship also helps.
Some specialized Disney travel agents offer an onboard credit. Check Dreams Unlimited Travel. Disney Visa also offers an onboard credit when you use it to pay.
Hope this helps!
Disney has some sort of club you can join that does give you quite a few benefits. I can't remember what it is called right now, but you might try searching for it.
Good question, I will follow it

You're not American, so you shouldn't be expected to know what Disney is.
OOPS, didn't disney make most of it's money off AMERICANS?? Sorry, not your problem, you just want a job.

Where would I get a Disney Cruise line promotional code at?
or Does anyone have 1 they are not going to use???Where would I get a Disney Cruise line promotional code at?
The only codes I know about are
If you're a Florida Resident or meet the Military criteria, that's about the only 'coded' discounts you'll find:
http://www.wdwinfo.com/discounts/discoun鈥?/a>
Your other option is to book with an agency that has discounted group rates. If you're able to travel during the dates these are offered, you can take advantage of the savings.
If those dates don't work, take a look at the shipboard credits available when booking other sailings.
Also - if you are going to use your Disney Visa to pay for your cruise, make sure they input code DCC. That will give you a $50 onboard credit.fondue channel 5 weather

Has anyone been on the Disney Cruise Line?
What are the best times to go? Best Rates? Lots to do for ages 9,12,15?Has anyone been on the Disney Cruise Line?
Nope and I wouldn't want to. That Disney channel ad 4 it is so cheesy it puts me off straight away. I mean Tiffany thorntons mercy ? Weirdo
well i haven't been on a Disney cruise before, just a carnival cruise (2 times) and when i went on a cruise in January, it was hell. it went to panama, belize, and costa rica. almost all week the top of the boat was closed to to strong winds, it was sometimes too cold too swim, and we had a sweater on most of the cruise. the other time i went was in march, and it was much better. none of what happened the other time. during summer, prices are higher because there are more people going on cruises, and there are more tropical storms. i suggest going on a cruise from march to june. as for the ages, a 15 year old might not be so happy with the disney cruise.Has anyone been on the Disney Cruise Line?
The best rates are during off season(usually when kids are in school). Best rates are in Sept-February. Keep in mind that during any holidays, rates are high. There's tons of things for everyone to do. I went last year and are going again this Sept.

Will my kids fall off the Disney Cruise Line ship?
Kids are 3 and 10 months. Hubby really wants to book it, but I'm worried they will fall overboard! Will my kids fall off the Disney Cruise Line ship?
At their age, there is no risk of falling overboard. They would quite literally have to scale railings which slope inward to prevent such a thing, without anyone at all noticing them.
Of course, watch your children; afterall you are the parent and are responsible for them. However, keep in mind that all Disney ships are/will be (for the future ones) designed with young children in mind. That includes safety.
Go, have fun!
Yeah, sorry, but I really don't care what some jealous girl's opinion of my looks is. I feel bad for your husband and children. Your old, ugly, and apparently retarded. Oh, and at least I'm not so ugly I have to make an avatar of how I WISH I looked. Gay hat, by the way!
lol If you've been on a cruise line before and you have common sense, how can you not know that there are barriers all around the ship? Obviously kids run - adults do to. And actually, they have jogging trails around the decks.
I think it's safe to assume the Disney Company has put this into consideration. Remember, not everyone is as stupid as you.
I guarantee your husband would want me. ; ) I've got a young, hot body. Long, dark, gorgeous hair. The most beautiful eyes ever. Oh, and a brain! Unlike you. Ahhh...
You can bet on it. At 3 months and 10 months, kids go wandering all over the ship by themselves all the time.
Also, how can you have 2 children that are only 7 months apart in age.
Sounds kind of bogus.
They are more concerned about that than other cruise lines are. They are extremely careful when you leave the kids in their care. If it was ever to happen, it would be due to extreme negligence on the behalf of the parents. It has never happened on any cruise line.
Be a responsible parent and watch your children.
They won't fall overboard.
Besides, most ships have glass plates around the side which're too big for children to climb over.
Um... common sense... no, your children will not fall overboard unless you're an irresponsible parent and drop them overbaord. Although, I have a hard time believing you're a responsible parent due to the senseless question you've asked. Do you watch the news ever? Do you hear of little kids crawling off the edge of a cuise ship? Never. There is always glass or some sort of barrier around the edge of the ship. The only people that go overboard are the drunk adults, not paying attention.
Listen to your hubby. The kids will love it!
* tbugs - lol I think the only fact we can all bet on is that you have no common sense. First of all, a child has never fallen overboard on a cruise ship due to negligence of the parents of staff. And to answer your thoughtless question, "how can you have 2 children that are only 7 months apart in age?" Well, there is this thing called adoption. It's great thing to do. So, that's how it would be possible to have a child who's ten months old and another child who's only three months old. But she said her kids are three and ten months old, meaning one child is three YEARS old and the youngest is only ten months old.
I have been on 5 Disney cruises and I cannot see any way that a child could fall overboard. There is nothing to worry about.

Does sheet music exist for the Disney Cruise Line musical "Twice Charmed"?
I am specifically looking for sheet music for "Believe in Me." I have no idea where to start. Anyone have any ideas?Does sheet music exist for the Disney Cruise Line musical "Twice Charmed"?
Hi! I watched the Twice Charmed musical too on the ship.
I have done my research all over, for a LONG time! Sadly, sheet music has not been released for this
song as someone wrote it especially for the ship.
Although, it is possible to learn this song by ear. There are videos on you tube to watch of the show.
If you have the capability of playing by ear, you are all set!Does sheet music exist for the Disney Cruise Line musical "Twice Charmed"?

Where can I go to get really good deals on the Disney Cruise line?
Thank you:)Where can I go to get really good deals on the Disney Cruise line?
Disney is hard to get deals on and the cruise ships fill up fast. If you live in or near FL and have flexible travel plans, try going for last-minute deals... but don't hold your breath.
If you know anybody that works for Disney, I think they get a discount that you may try to use.Where can I go to get really good deals on the Disney Cruise line?
unfortunately you can't. They're pretty much expensive wherever you look. Your best bet is probably travelocity.comsailboats for sale wheels and tires

Should I audition for the Disney Cruise Line?
So I'm reading online about upcoming Disney auditions and I noticed a role that I was interested in for the Disney cruise line. Like the auditions at Disneyland It says the age limit is 18 and older and 9 month contracts begin in may and June. I'm 17 currently however my birthday is may 2nd so do you think I should just go for it?? Do you think showing up would be bad cause I'm not 18?? Cause I will definitely be 18 before the contract starts. Opinions pleas! :)Should I audition for the Disney Cruise Line?
You should. If its your dream go for it. Follow your heart don't take others opinion just yours

Disney Cruise Line- what can I expect on a 4 night bahamian cruise ?
hello . i am considering going on a 4 night bahamian cruise with the walt disney cruise line, am just wondering what i can expect ? , i am looking for any info here, particularily from people who have been on this cruise. plese help !Disney Cruise Line- what can I expect on a 4 night bahamian cruise ?
I have been on this cruise - and it is WONDERFUL! Then entertainment on the ship is first class. The food is great, and the kids programs (although I didn't bring any children) was excellent. They have "adult only" areas, so if you don't want to be around the kids you don't have to be.
Disney is a first class cruise - and you will have alot of fun.
I just came back from the Disney Cruise and it was very well organized with Disney doing a very thorough effort to prep you before the cruise and take care of important aspects from the arrive, ground transfers, pre/post cruise hotel reservations, dining, shore excursion, shows, entertainment, seminars/lectures and activities for kids of all ages, teens, couples, and singles/single parents.
You get pre-cruise details and during the cruise, disney has numerous bulletins, newsletters, and Public Address announcements to keep you advised of key activities and events.Disney Cruise Line- what can I expect on a 4 night bahamian cruise ?
I've been on that cruise and it is truly great. You can expect to have the total Disney experience - a well organized, fun, relaxing, quality time. The Disney ships are gorgeous and have better cabins and facilities that most other cruise lines. Entertainment is fantastic, with several theatres that feature both movies and theatrical Disney musicals. If you are taking kids they will be absolutely mesmerized by all there is to do. If you will be going as a couple or in a group you will enjoy the adults only areas and restaurants on board.
As for ports of call, they will be Nassau and Castaway Key, which is Disney's private Bahamian island. Both ports of call will have plenty of shore excursions, which your cruise director will tell you about during talks on board the ship.
If you have the time, I would highly recommend doing the cruise/park combo package. You can spend four days on the cruise AND three days in the parks and really have something to remember forever! It's actually pretty reasonably priced, considering that it is an all inclusive vacation.
I would start by going to the Disney Cruise Lines web site and requesting the info DVD. It outlines everything I've described and more. Hope you have fun!

Whats the differnce between the disney cruise line's magic and wonder?
I'm going on the Wonder.Whats the differnce between the disney cruise line's magic and wonder?
Besides the fact that the Wonder does 3 or 4 night cruises and the Magic does mainly 7 night cruises, the ships are basically the same. Their layouts are almost the same, however their decor/theme is different.
Magic is Art Nuevo
Wonder is Art Deco
Magic's fancy dinning room is Lumiere's and is Beauty and the Beast.
Wonder's fancy dining room is Triton's and is underwater themed.
Magic's main buffet is called Topsiders
Wonder's main buffett is called Beach Blanket
Magic has a statue of Mickey in the Atrium
Wonder has a statue of Ariel in the Atrium.
On deck 2 on the Wonder there are conference rooms, on the Magic it is a children's area.
The Magic's adult area is called Beat Street
The Wonder's adult area is called Route 66
The differences are really minimal. Have a good time on your cruise!!
Just the names. One may be a little newer than the other. They are just like all of the other cruise line ships, each has their own name but they are basically the same. Every time they build a new ship, it gets its own name. Some have different destinations but many travel the same places. Some leave from different ports.
You can check this out on line under cruise lines. It will give the details of the size, measurements, and everything you would want to know. You may want to pull it up under Disney Cruise. Or you can call any local travel agency and get all the specific information you want.Whats the differnce between the disney cruise line's magic and wonder?

What's the salary range for working a contract with Disney Cruise line?
I've been to the presentations they gave in Orlando but when someone asked what the pay was, they stated that they didn't give you a salary range until you were given a job offer. I'm thinking about applying to work for them for a year after graduation but want to know what the average pay ranges are. I know they work you a lot but for not having to pay rent, food, medical, etc... it's not too bad for a year to save some money up to pay my student loans back. What's the salary range for working a contract with Disney Cruise line?
They pay very well. When I was in college my professor who is a close contact of their's was encouraging us to accept any offers we got from them because they are one of the best in the business to work for. THeir employees also have a great time and I have never heard anything bad about it.

I'm going on a disney cruise and i'm nervous that it will be flooded with Disney stuff. Don't get me wrong, i love disney, but i don't want it on the cruise. Am i going to be disappointed? Also is there un-themed activities on the boat?Is the Disney cruise line overly disney themed?

Has anyone gone on the Disney Cruise Line for a honeymoon?
It sounds like a lot of fun to have 3 days at sea and 4 days at the park.Has anyone gone on the Disney Cruise Line for a honeymoon?
I went on Disney Cruise without children and seriously we NEVER saw children...eat at the later seating, join in excusions, enjoy yourself! There are so many children's activities and centers for the kids that they are always busy. I went on Carnival and the children were awful on that line-running around unsupervised, loud, knocking people over...
I would say take your honeymoon on Disney...it will be MAGICAL!!
From what I've read, Disney is a good cruise as long as you don't mind families with kids, Disney characters/decor everywhere and feel that the Disney effect is worth the extra cost.
Go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Boards" and then on "Disney Cruise Lines" to see what others think. I believe there is also a board about honeymooners.Has anyone gone on the Disney Cruise Line for a honeymoon?
been there done this, with kids, the disney cruise line is not designed for adults, try carnival or renaissance or the princess line. I live in Florida, and would say its okay if you plan on bringing kids, but for adults looking for a romantic way to spend their honeymoon you will be the minority..

What is the best place to go on the Disney Cruise Line?
Either the bahamas or the caribbean. And what ship?? fantasy, wonder, magic, or dream! ty!!!!What is the best place to go on the Disney Cruise Line?
the fantasy hasnt come out yet... but the DREAM LOOKS AMAZING! my neighbors just went on the maiden voyage of the dream, and they said it was a dream (no pun intended). Caribbean has a lot more to do than the bahamas, so the caribbean for sure
And by the way, Disney is better than Royal Caribbean (Nickelodeon cruise). I have been on both, and I think there is more to do for the entire family on Disney. Plus, the food is so much better on the Disney cruiseline. What is the best place to go on the Disney Cruise Line?
i assume its for your kids and it would help if i knew how old they were. BUT....YOU NEED TO GO ON THE NICKELODEN CRUISE. IF THEY LIKE SPONGE BOB AND THOSE PEOPLE THEN ITS PERFECT CAUSE ITS DESIGNED FOR KIDS LIKE THAT. YOU GET TO MEET SPONGE BOB (NOT THE REAL ONE JUST SOME GUY IN A CONSTUME) (sry for caps) any way ya. i went on it and its also perfect for adults cause theres plenty for them. just google it.consider going to mexico. thats where im going this febuary with my family. canccon mexico. 4 star resourt all the food is free (bafae reastraunts swim up bars) and the swim up bars are for kids to. its about 3600 for the plane and everything else.and the bahams would be cheaper then the caribean but the caribean would be more fun and hotter i think (hotter as in warmer) lol and i would do magic cruise

How much is it for a cat 1, 2, or 3 stateroom on the Disney Cruise Line?

That really depends on the ship, itinerary, and sail date. The longer a cruise the more expensive it will be. Also, if you are sailing during summer, spring, or winter break or on any holidays then the price will increase. Your cheapest rates are uaually in January-Feb and September to November excluding Holidays. I know that you can get Military Discounts. If you are planning in advance or last minute you can also get some great deals. I am a Disney Cruise Agent and I would advise you to Call in on October 16th "World's Largest Cruise Night" to get special pricing for this event. Feel free to visit my website or give me a call to get exact pricing for your dream vacation. You can also email me through Yahoo answers if you need further assistance. I have sailed Disney and I loved it! I'm sorry I could not offer you a more detailed answer but the timing is crutial.

What Disney Cruise Line ships go on which itineraries?
What Disney Cruise Line ships go on which itineraries?
(Which ships go to which places?)What Disney Cruise Line ships go on which itineraries?
It depends when you want to go. This year (2011) Disney Magic- 7 day eastern or western caribbean; Disney Wonder- Mexican Rivera, Panama Canal, Alaska; Disney Dream- 3, 4, 5 bahamian cruises.
Next year +(2012+)- Disney Magic- Trans Atlantic; Disney Wonder-Mexican Rivera, Hawaiian, Alaska, Panama Canal; Disney Dream- 3,4,5 night bahamian cruise, New York Cruises; Disney Fantasy- 7 day eastern or western caribbean.
The problem in answering your question is that Disney has only three (3) cruise ships and moves them to all of the places that it advertises that it cruises to as the cruises come up. So it's not like other cruise line where one ship departs from a specific port all year or most of the year. Disney keeps moving those 3 ships around, so it depends on when you look as to which ship is where..What Disney Cruise Line ships go on which itineraries?
This is not an easy answer since Disney only has 3 ships this year %26amp; 4 next year. They're adding more itineraries next year %26amp; moving the ships around to different home ports more than once. I suggest going on their site and figuring out what itineraries are available for the date/season you want to go.

Depends on the time of year and what home port they have. Magic is currently inEurope, but is leaving there at the end of the season and will not be back for several years, if ever again

Did u like it? Good and bad things? Any info appreciated. Thanks.Has anyone ever worked on board a Disney Cruise line Ship?
my friend worked at disney dressed as a chipmunk. The rules are dead strict, like you cant have your photo taken with guests who have logos on their tshirts, you have to find some way of blocking it out (stand behind them and place your arms in front etc.
but she loved EVERY minute.
Haha, They exist? Is the captain Micky Mouse .....
And what are the life boats? Dodgums?Has anyone ever worked on board a Disney Cruise line Ship?
a friend of mine was a massage therapist - did not sound very nice - they work you hardcore
my best friend that kissed my x boy friend! did she said it was cool to work there
i went on a cruise and talked to some of the staff, you dont have much free time, they work you the whole time. so if you just want to save money thats fine but if you think its gonna be fun think again!

Whats the lowest price for Disney Cruise line?
Hi, I want to buy a gift for my little brothers birthday a cruise on the Disney cruise ship. I want to pay for my mom and dad and my two little brothers to go so that's a total of 4 people. What's the lowest price anyone has bought for the Disney Cruise ship? ThanksWhats the lowest price for Disney Cruise line?
Email My wife she's travel agent/accountant( good with numbers) at jasonandbrandystuart@yahoo.com She can get this done stress free. That cruise sounds great time good choice.
There are so many factors involved that it is hard to say a price. You can go to their website and play around with dates and cabins. Typically, 'off season' is cheaper and inside cabins toward the back of the ship are cheaper. Off season is NOT spring break, summer, or Thanksgiving or Christmas.
You can still expect to pay about $700 per person for a 3 day cruise. They currently have a 'last minute' special of $630 per person but you leave next week. That may not be enough time to gather passports, pack, and arrange transportation to Florida, etc.Whats the lowest price for Disney Cruise line?
the lowest priced category cabin is an interior stateroom. most will not fit 4 people. average is $100/per person per day. Disney is typically ABOVE average on costs
It depends when and where you go, how many nights, and extra costs, such as shore excursions, bottled water, etc., etc.

It probably is plastic cups because they take less energy to make so they can make a lot of plastic, instead of few cans with the same amount of cash.

Does the Disney Cruise line offer a formal dinner night?
If so, must you dress in formal clothes with a female in a ball gown and the man in a suit? What type of food is served during this meal?Does the Disney Cruise line offer a formal dinner night?
We spent 10 days on the Disney Cruise Ship "Magic" this past summer. They had 2 "formal" nights where recommended dining clothes is a coat, and even Mickey is in a Tux. This is for all 3 rotating dining areas as well as Palo, the formal dining room. Formal dress at the buffet is not required.
However, "formal" is just requested, not mandatory at the 3 restaurants. I'd say 80% of the men are in coats and 70% of the woment are in some sort of formal gown or business suit.
Again, it is optional. Several individuals on our table did not dress up (one fellow left his coat in a taxi on the way to the ship).
Main objective is to have fun...and Disney understands that better than anyone.
they have an adults only restaurant. This is your chance to get dressed up. Otherwise it is dress casual which means women in dress or pants and a nice top/ men in jacket and tie.
cruiseclues.comDoes the Disney Cruise line offer a formal dinner night?
No they don't. If you want to dine in the formal dinning rooms you much book your reservation early. No kids are allowed in the formal areas
No they do not. They have an Adults Only restaurant on the top deck that you must dress for to get into. But the other 3 dining areas do not have a formal night.

Where do you stay on Castaway Cay (the private island for the disney cruise line) like in a hotel or what?
Im going on disney cruise next year and I want to know where you stay on the private island please answer!Where do you stay on Castaway Cay (the private island for the disney cruise line) like in a hotel or what?
you sleep on the ship :)
Actually, you'll seldom (if ever) see a cruiseline private island that allows passengers to stay on the island after early-dusk. Reason being, they are all infested with mosquitoes and sand fleas, and they really come out at dusk and evening.
you have to return to the ship around 7PM
if you wish to have a hotel room so you can relax while off the ship
while a waste of money I'm sure they have one
You don't sleep over on the island, you sleep on the cruise ship.

Has anyone ever worked as a performer on the disney cruise line?
I just got a job as a performer for the disney wonder and im getting nervous because im reading that people think its terrible. If you have worked there can you tell me what I can expect, whats good and whats bad about it? Maybe tell me what the days are like and how I can prepare for it. Thanks :)Has anyone ever worked as a performer on the disney cruise line?
You work every day, mostly all day. Your living quarters are like matchboxes, and there's only one tiny room where employees are allowed to socialize. It's called the Officers' Bar, and it's perpetually filled with smoke and sticky with spilled booze. There are always loud parties going on in there.
You are required to do additional work on the ship besides the performance you are booked for, such as helping with safety drills.

How is the Disney Cruise Line? Is it worth the money?
I have a 4 year old and a 6 year old. I was considering looking into maybe a 5 night cruise for Christmas this year. I noticed their prices are quite a bit higher than normal cruise lines. Which I know can be expected.....it is Disney afterall! I just mainly want to know how you liked it?How is the Disney Cruise Line? Is it worth the money?
Go on the website and look at some reviews...looks pretty good to me! esp for young kids!
one reason they are higher than normal cruise lines is because they have all the extra employees to entertain the young cruisers ie... mickey, minnie, etc.
sodas are also a non charge item.
if you are looking for entertainment for you and your spouse while the kids enjoy the cruise, have fun.... 1 bar on board, NO casino. You will have to make up your own things to do while on board.
i have never been on a DCL.... Hubby sees WDW 5 days a week. on vaca, we want to relax without the mouse. How is the Disney Cruise Line? Is it worth the money?
If you are on a tight budget I would recommend a royal caribbean were you could even get a 7 night cruise for less. But if your kids are dying to see mickey mouse I would definetley say its worth it because there are very good kids programs on disney cruises. Also there are fun things for adults like adults only areas
It was wonderful. At first I did not want to go since it was Disney and all but i went anyways. It was the best time of my life. I really enjoyed how they had a common grounds for kids/teenagers and i met wonderful people while on the cruise. Two i am still am in touch with that i visit now and then. It was a wonderful vacation and a great way to get to know people :)

How can I get a job as Chief Officer on the Disney Cruise Line?
I really want to have a career on board the Disney Ships as Chief Officer or Captain. I looked on their job position website but they only were giving directions on how to apply for those low-paying jobs as waiters or cabin-keepers or Ordinary Seaman, etc. They did not have the directions or applications for the bridge positions. Do I have to contact a special office for that or is there a different number/website/place that I can apply through? ThanksHow can I get a job as Chief Officer on the Disney Cruise Line?

When are the new Disney Cruise line ships supposed to be finished?
When and where will they sail? When are the new Disney Cruise line ships supposed to be finished?
The begin sailing in 2011 and 2012. Here's a news story about it.
Port Canaveral to Get Big New Disney and Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships
Port Canaveral, which came from nowhere to become the world's third busiest cruise ship home port, is facing an even brighter future as a result of two new deals with Royal Caribbean and Disney cruise lines.
Royal Caribbean on March 19th submitted a letter of intent to base what is currently one of its two largest cruise ships, Freedom of the Seas, at Port Canaveral in May 2009 after taking delivery of an even larger ship, the new Genesis.
Since Royal Caribbean is removing Port Canaveral's current largest ship, Mariner of the Seas, in Jan. 2009 to shift the vessel to Los Angeles, word that it ultimately will be replaced by an even larger vessel comes as good news for Central Florida residents.
"Based on the popularity of Mariner of the Seas at Port Canaveral, we look forward to and anticipate similar success for Freedom of the Seas," said Adam Goldstein, president of Royal Caribbean International.
Meanwhile, Disney Cruise Line finalized an agreement with Port Canaveral to extend its current contract 15 years and announced that it will make the port the home of two new 4,000-passenger cruise ships currently under construction.
The two new Disney ships will begin sailing from Port Canaveral in 2011 and 2012.
The port will extend the Disney dock, currently used by Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, and will enlarge the terminal and build a new parking structure.
"This agreement reflects Disney鈥檚 commitment to Central Florida and success at Port Canaveral," said Disney Cruise Line president Tom McAlpin. "We are proud to call Port Canaveral our homeport."When are the new Disney Cruise line ships supposed to be finished?
The first ship is actually almost finished. But neither will sail for at least 3 more years, unless Al W. decides to be a little crazy and the second one gets done way before schedule.

Is priority seating available at the Disney Cruise Line?
Im planning a land/sea vacation at Disney. I see there are several restaurants and I'm wondering... are the restaurants assigned to you, or do you choose them in advance? How does it work?Is priority seating available at the Disney Cruise Line?
You eat at a different restaurant every night. Your waiters and wait staff rotate with you - so you always have the same staff. If you want to eat in the Specialty restaurant on the top deck, you must make a reservation. If you have a suite, you can get priority seating.
We cruised with Disney before. Any questions feel free to contact me.

they have a "specialty restaurant" which it is recommended that you get reservations (in advance). the others you are assigned to first or second seating. Is priority seating available at the Disney Cruise Line?
You are assigned them. Dont worry, you go to all of them, you go to a different one every day. The restaurants are amazing, especially the animator's pallete, it goes from black and white to color. The only one you need a reservation for is the adult only restaurant.

Whats better Disney cruise line or Disney world ?
Hey i was wondering if someone
could tell me if a Disney cruise line or
Disney world itself is better ?
I have a family of 5 and the youngest is 16 !
We would be staying 7 days !Whats better Disney cruise line or Disney world ?
Both are wonderful vacations, and you can't go wrong with either one. Your decision just has to come down to personal preference of the people going on the vacation.
Disney World has 4 major theme parks, 2 water parks, many restaurants, and Downtown Disney. You pick what you want to do each day, and make your own decisions on where you want to eat %26amp; what you want to see. You can switch things around based on how weather is going to be.
The Disney Cruise has an itinerary set up for you, which is nice for a lot of people. There's things for people of all ages to do. The newest boat is supposed to be amazing, with endless activities. The restaurants on board are really well themed, and there's even characters just like in the parks. You stop at different islands %26amp; ports of call each day, and then you do activities %26amp; excursions there like going to the beach %26amp; snorkeling.
The main difference is that Disney World is centered around the parks, and the Disney Cruise is centered around the tropical beaches. So when you think of your family, are they more park people or more beach people? Would they have more fun riding rides or going snorkeling? Maybe ask their opinions and make a group decision. Both are so completely different, but fun in their own way.
If you want to do both, you can do that with the Disney Land %26amp; Sea package. It's a 7 day vacation that includes half the week on the cruise boat %26amp; half the week in the parks. I have heard that this is a great combo if you're on the fence about which trip to do. It's an all inclusive vacation that includes unlimited tickets to the parks. The cruise takes you to the Bahamas, and to Disney's private island called Castaway Cay.

Whatever you decide, have fun!
Both would be amazing! I think a lot of kids have the idea that there will be nothing to do on a ship but I went on my first cruise when I was 12 and had a blast! I think it depends on what everyone wants to do. A cruise, though filled with activities, is a little more relaxing while being at the park will be super tiring. Either one you choose will create great memories.Whats better Disney cruise line or Disney world ?
Disney parks for sure! Your kids might find it boring because they are older and there won't be much to do on the ships but in the parks you have tons of rides and downtown Disneylittle ceasers german english translation
