We are going on the 7 day western carribean cruise in January to Key West, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman. What are the better excursions OR which ones should we stay away from?Disney Cruise Line Excursions?
We literally just finshed with this Disney 7-day Western Casribbean itinerary. There are just tons of shore excursions, and a lot of this answer depends on what you want to do -- relax? tour the islands? do sports? have adventures? Also, since you're taking a Disney cruise, what age(s) are your child(ren)? Disney's excursions are divided into ages and difficulty levels to help determine if your party can enjoy the excursion. This was our 1st time to Key West, so we took the Conch/Trolley train tour. We brought our 4-year-old, who slept the whole time (kinda a waste of $$). The tour was good, but maybe we should've done something a bit more exciting. My brother said the pirate museum was good, as was the aquarium (but lots of city's have good ones) and the butterfly exhibit was good, too. This was our 2nd visit to Cozumel, and again, we tailored the excursion to our 4-year-old, so we did the Ocean View Explorer visiting the coral reef right along the shore of Cozumel. Many of the shore activites, including snorkelling, diving, submarine, etc., visit this same coral reef. If you like the idea of seeing some undersea life, any of these are great. But honestly, Cozumel has a nice shopping strip (bargain -- do NOT pay the first price they give you!) if you don't want to pay Disney's high prices for excursions. This was also our 2nd trip to Grand Cayman. Grand Cayman is an expensive island (unlike Cozumel), so in all honesty, don't pay for Disney's excursions here. Just take a tender (boat) from the cruise ship to the dock and talk to the folks at the end of the peir hawking tours. Everybody speaks English (it's a British island), everybody takes dollars, and you can negotiate a MUCH better price. Check out the list of excursions that Disney sends you in your "Travel Kit", decide what you want, then negotiate for it at the pier. Just be back by the time the cruise ship sails or your vacation will be wrecked. In Cayman, 7-mile beach is gorgeous, the turtle farm is neat, Stingyray City is neat, all are worth seeing. The shopping is expensive; unless you want a t-shirt from Grand Cayman, buy your souvenirs in Cozumel.
Hope that helps! Have an awesome trip!!!!!!
i don't know what the good excursions are. But I can give you a tip on booking them. Either book them before your cruise. Or the first day of your cruise. Otherwise they will be all filled up
ps-DCL cruises are the best :)Disney Cruise Line Excursions?

i think you shouldnt limit your self to what other people are saying. they might percieve their experience as bad which you yourself might like it, you know. If sounds good to you go try it ;)
