Can you add Dining Plan to 2008 Disney cruise line Land/Sea package?

I just read on disboard.com that you can now add the dining plan to the cruise line land/sea package. Is this true? Is it a good deal?

This is what disboards said:

2008 DISNEY DINING PLAN ADD-ON

For $37.99 per night per person for guests ages 10 and up and $9.99 per night per person for guests ages 3 - 9, you can now add on the Disney Dining Plan during your land stayCan you add Dining Plan to 2008 Disney cruise line Land/Sea package?
You are correct, you can now add the dining plan on to land and sea packages. It is great because that was a measure downside to doing the land and sea package.

The dining plan is a great deal, especially this year when truly everything is included. This year you get one table service, counter service and snack point per day of the dining plan. Everything is pretty much included in those meals, including drinks (other than alcohol) and tip. Next year they are changing a few things. For example, some restaurants (I don't know how many, from what I have read so far it looks like quite a few) will no longer be including tip, so you will have to pay for that (18% of your bill) Also, appetizers are no longer included, some restaurants will allow you to switch your dessert for an appetizer but not all. Finally, the snack is supposedly going to be a little more limited next year. However, from what I am reading this will only be certain places that you get snacks, others will pretty much be the same as this year.

Even though you are losing quite a bit next year, and the price only went down a dollar per person, it should still really be a great deal.

With a land and sea package you are only able to add on the standard dining plan, the deluxe dining plan will not be an option.

You are only allowed to add the dining plan on to the days that are a part of the actual land and sea. The extra days you add on do not qualify for the dining plan. So, if you are doing the 3 night land and 4 night sea cruise, you can only get the dining plan for three nights on land. Any extra days you cannot add the plan on and of those days you must have the dining plan on each day, it must be included for all three nights.... Does that make since?

Hope this helps, feel free to e-mail if I need to clarify anything.
Yes! It is true! And it's totally worth it! It will save you money in the end! Disney dining allows you one counter service, one sit down service and one snack for each person for the the amount of days on your tickets. I think it is a great option, and takes alot of guess work out things for you, and you can just feel at ease. Can you add Dining Plan to 2008 Disney cruise line Land/Sea package?
