I was watching today on travel channel about the disney cruise line. I was just wondering about the kid safety. They have so many little kids and I was wondering how they keep kids safe? how to they keep kids from climbing over the railing because there are usually big gaps?Disney cruise line - safety ?
There are many safety precautions on the Disney cruise line. First of all, I'm pretty sure the gaps aren't big enough for a small child to fit through. The railings are high, as well. Also, you're children should be intelligent enough or taught that it's a bad idea to jump off the side of an ocean liner, haha! And if you're child is too young to know that, then they should probably be carried or in a stroller. Parents should also be watching their kids at all times on deck. There is also an entire deck devoted to children, from a nightclub like building for teenagers, like myself, to activity areas for toddlers and everything in between. This entire children's deck is enclosed, so it is a wonderful place to leave your children without having to watch them. I hope I answered your question
(:
Lets be honest here. Disney has to be safe when it comes to children because that is what it prides upon. This is not like a cruise line that parents totally detach from their children the entire time that they are on the cruise. Yes it is safe and a wonderful experience. Not all activities are for all ages of children and this is something to consider. The fact that there are so many activities available for all age groups and in different settings is a great thing. I mean who doesn't want to visit or see Disney's private island? Nickelodeon also has a cruise line now, but although I love the Nick Hotel in Orlando there are a lot of hidden costs.Disney cruise line - safety ?
I've taken two Disney Cruises, and am pretty sure any kid would have a tough time climbing what would need to be climbed in order to get over. On lower, exterior decks, the windows and safety railings go to the ceiling, and on the top deck, the rails are designed such that they are difficult to even lean over unless you are pretty tall.
Also, keep in mind that, barring parental negligence, the kids on these boats are just as supervised as anywhere else. Most parents know to keep an eye on their kids, and the age-divided kid groups are usually looked over by multiple counselors, using high-tech check-in and check-out processes to keep tabs on the kids.
Too-long-didn't-read version? Kids are safe on Disney Cruises :)
