You didn't really say if you're staying on Kiawah or nearby, so I'm not sure how much experience you've got with that area. But, in case you don't know already, Kiawah is a private owner/resort and big golf area and you have to have a pass just to get on the island (unless you're going to Beachwalker Cty. Park which is just outside the gate), so for whatever reason it is you're going, make sure you'll even be able to get on the island. As far as restaurants, you can go to the links below and get info on the dining options available on the island. I'm sure just about any restaurant in Kiawah would be good. Other than that, you'll either have to eat somewhere in Freshfields Village (a shopping center at the roundabout outside of the gate), John's Island (which has about nothing), or going to James Island, West Ashley, or yes downtown. Seabrook Island is also nearby, but it's also a gated community that you'd need a pass for.

Any good places to eat on or around Kiawah Island, SC?
Please give me restaurants on or around, but don't tell me about charleston I already know good restaurants there and i want to know about Kiawah.Any good places to eat on or around Kiawah Island, SC?
