Greetings!

There is so much to do for a romantic getaway at Kiawah! Intimate dining settings, beautiful surroundings, and most importantly, great programs to explore the island!

I would highly recommend renting bikes during your stay. This way, you will be able to travel the island by bike. There are over 33miles of bike trails and you can even ride these classic beach cruiser bikes on the beach.

As far as for romance, the Kiawah Island Recreation Department holds a couple of tours right at sunset: The Adult Twilight Paddle and the Sunset Cruise. The Adult Twilight Paddle is a kayaking tour on the Kiawah River. Led by an experienced Naturalist, you paddle through the sunset and see Kiawah wildlife in the illuminating marsh.

The Sunset Cruise is another way to view the river at sunset. You get to sit back and relax while a Captain does the work. You may also bring beverages of your choice for the ride.

Another great motorboat tour is the Dolphin Encounter. This is held three times throughout every day. It is led by a Captain who will take you to various spots in the water where you might be able to see Kiawah dolphins in their natural environment. This tour is great!

To make reservations for all of the tours and the bike rentals, just call 843.768.6001. You can also stop in the Heron Park Nature Center in Night Heron Park for more help with activities during your stay. Hope you have a great time!
